Discipline policy: a loving philosophy

The Quarry Lane School uses constructive and preventive methods of discipline to guide and teach the children to encourage their success in social interactions. Discipline is always tempered with the love and genuine caring about each individual child.

Teachers provide models of calm, pleasant and respectful behavior. The staff continously monitors the classrooms and playground to find opportunities to teach helping behaviors, so that children can learn to recognize when they are needed by another or how to play together. Teachers direct behaviors toward positive outcomes and create age-appropriate activities from which children can choose.

Illness and Medication Policies

To provide a safe and healthy environment for all students, the school has in place an illness and medication policy. A copy is available on request from the Preschool Office.
