Quarry Lane School Parent Association (QLSPA) 

Mission
The Purpose of the QLSPA is to promote a sense of community at The Quarry Lane School. As a group, the QLSPA strives to show appreciation and support for the administration, staff and teachers of Quarry Lane.  We sponsor activities that bring together the administration, staff, teachers, families and, most importantly, the students at our school.

What is the QLSPA?
The Quarry Lane School Parents Association, commonly referred to as the QLSPA, is a tax-exempt, not for profit, charitable organization.  Parents of students attending Junior Kindergarten through High School are eligible to be members of the QLSPA.  The Association is made up entirely of parent volunteers and operates independently from The Quarry Lane School.  

Meetings
Meetings are held on a regular basis and will be announced in advance by the QLSPA.  All parents are invited to attend.  Agenda business is comprised of, but not limited to, reports from the Board, committee chairpersons, submission/approval of funding requests and general discussion on these and other topics.

Who are the Board Members and How are they selected?
The QLSPA board is made of parent volunteers dedicated to leading the Association in a continuous effort to maintain and enhance our “Mission.” Board members serve the duration of ONE academic year, and may continue to be a board member through a random lottery selection process. Board members consist of: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.  QLSPA publishes monthly meeting minutes informing families of QLSPA events and activities.  You also can e-mail us with your ideas or questions.  Minutes from our meetings are available via email to any parent upon request.

Volunteers
QLSPA is made up exclusively of parent volunteers. All activities are supported by the efforts of these volunteers. Parents can volunteer their time and expertise in many areas. A list of volunteer opportunities is available during student orientation and at Back to School Night.  Additional requests for volunteers will be posted throughout the year as needed.
